I already love this coat. (We'll have to see how it works this winter) But I'm already impressed with the quality and size. The fit is just amazing. This is a super adjustable waist. I have a large lean/long dog and usually the hair covering his butt just falls over him. (Or vice versa, they hug his waist and leave an inch of his buttocks exposed.) This jacket fits perfectly. I would recommend using length as a base number because as long as your dog's waist is smaller than the largest waist size they should fit. Even the length can be adjusted slightly shorter with a small tail adjustment. It is very easy to put on and take off. It takes me about 2 seconds to put it on and then we're good to go. The material is comfortable. The inner fleece is soft and the coat seems to have enough down to keep it warm for most of the winter. When we get to the single digits, I may need to give my pup an undercoat (he has a very fine coat). But it looks like it will keep him warm and comfy in the 40-10 degrees (F) without extra layers. The only negative is the small strips of spandex that go around his back legs (this keeps the back flaps of his coat from flapping). in the wind) are very long/loose (he's a big skinny dog again) but with 15 minutes and my sewing kit I can fit them to my pup. So that . This really shouldn't be a problem and it's such a small detail as the basic details of the coat suit it perfectly. To be honest I wish I had found this jacket sooner it's worth the price.
