I bought these cufflinks after accidentally ordering a french cuff shirt and deciding to just use it instead of messing with the return process. I was looking for a cheap, high quality and trendy alternative to the run-of-the-mill metal cufflinks that often cost multiples of this item for a pair. These silk knot cufflinks have the perfect fit. The cufflinks are made from a silk blend with some stretchy polyester. However, as far as I can tell, this is the same quality material as the ones I bought from J.Crew for a fifth of the price. A few other reviewers have mentioned that they are quite large and can be difficult to fit into standard sized French cuffs. This is true of all the monkey knot cufflinks I have seen, so I believe this is just a feature of this type of cufflink. However, I have found that one thing that helps get them into the cuff hole is to pull them well to tighten the knots and lengthen the middle of the rope. I have not seen any of my cufflinks break in the process, leading me to believe they are quite strong. Overall I am very happy with this set of cufflinks. If you are looking for an attractive, high quality, and affordable alternative to the standard cufflinks, I highly recommend trying this product.
