This is a really good mattress. We had an old sleeper sofa in our family room that we use as a guest room. I began noticing that my relatives would bring an air mattress to visit and quietly complain about how they slept. So I replaced the old mattress with this one and also removed some of the stretched flat spring springs. They are very happy and cannot thank me enough. They even stopped using the egg crate and extra padding that we had on the old mattress and left them on this one. They didn't need it. The only criticism is the installation. The mattress comes in a vacuum packed plastic bag. When you break the seal and place it on the bed, the mattress expands as the air pressure changes. As it stretches, it becomes softer and more comfortable. This is good, but takes some time (e.g. a day). It also releases many volatile organic chemicals (VOCs) that are trapped in the packaging and the mattress itself. The mattress usually smells like glue or spray paint for about a week. You must air it before letting your guests sleep on it. It's not ready to come out of the box just before someone sleeps on it.
