Review on Whitewashed South Shore Summer Breeze 1-Drawer Nightstand by Sharon Griffin

I bought a bedroom set consisting of a chest of drawers, a chest of drawers and a bedside table. As much as you can hear about all the buyers' complaints and groans. Rule of thumb - you get what you pay for. It's no different than most furniture, the only difference for the most part is that you save money by assembling it yourself. My reason for this review is to help all those who are worried and moaning about these pieces. I suggest you use ALL glue on all dowels and where wood meets wood. Second, and most importantly, toss the pad in the trash can, go to a home depot or shop and have one of the really nice guys cut you a piece of 1/8 inch hardboard to the size you want. costs you $7 max and makes the whole piece of furniture ten times stronger. The cardboard backing that comes with this flat furniture is useless, and if you throw it away and replace it with hardboard, the piece becomes stiffer and more durable. 2 steps extend the life of the furniture and make it easier to move.
