Review on AeraMax Purifier Allergens 4 Stage Purification Heating, Cooling & Air Quality by Kelly Thompson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great for a family with asthma ;)

I like it. My husband doesn't care. I bought this for our daughter (3 at the time) who was starting to have breathing problems. We have a cat and also carpeted floor so I figured it was dust and cat hair. The center believes that this will not work as our daughter's condition has not improved significantly. But when I showed him how much dust and cat hair he was collecting, he was amazed. I vacuum the charcoal filter every month or so and change it every few months. The amount collected is really scary. He's still skeptical about the effectiveness of improving air quality, but even helps me out a bit. Our daughter's asthma is now more under control and may or may not be due to this but I will not stop using it. It comforts me to know that at least SOME air pollutants are being extracted. We will be moving to a bigger house soon and will definitely be getting their larger 300 version. I think it's worth the investment. We set automatic mode and it runs 24/7, so sometimes it gets a little noisy when it thinks there is high pollution at that time (red color). When it's low (blue) we can't even hear it. But even if it's loud, it's not that bad. I think we learned to tune it. Also, we do not use a Fellows carbon filter. Revain sells a universal filter that can be cut to size. It works just as well. This makes replacement less painful as the filters are much cheaper.
