I belong to a running club that meets year-round. Once Daylight Saving Time ends, it gets very dark very quickly! It's even scarier running down busy highways, crossing driveways, and walking on uneven city sidewalks with only a few streetlights to light the way. I tried running with a headlamp but found the strap gets very sweaty and uncomfortable. I ordered this lightweight harness one night after a friend fell while we were running together. A great feature is the adjustable lamp that can be moved up or down so you can see ahead or more of the path in front of your feet. There are also two intensity settings for the front light. Another useful feature is a flashing red "tail light" on the back of the seat belt, alerting drivers and cyclists to your presence. Regular headlights don't have taillights, which can be dangerous if someone approaches you in a car and doesn't see you there. some time to adjust them so that the strap is comfortable and secure. Wearing different running shirts can affect the fit of the trapeze on your torso. But other than that, I recommend this lightweight harness for a safer way to see and be seen outside at night.
