This product received good reviews and was listed as a Revain choice so I gave it a try as a Christmas present despite the low price and plastic material. I spent more on berries for filling than I did on a waffle maker. It says not to use spray oil but to lubricate the burners, which is difficult when a burner is open and in the air. The instructions also say 1 1/2 to 2 minutes for the waffle, but the first waffle was nowhere near cooked at this point. The next was cooked outside after 4 minutes but not cooked inside. All in all, with a full load of batter and more than 5 minutes between each waffle, I had maybe 2 good waffles in 30+ minute cook time. It was a perfect purchase. If we had kept the box I would have wrapped it up and sent it back, but it is now in our donation pile.
