Or if they're *technically* some kind of silicone, they're not soft like silicone but hard like plastic this is what I was hoping for as I am looking for lace closures that will not rattle when my shorts are put in the dryer unfortunately they are not designed for that I am not saying this is a bad product is, but I will say that it is not what I expected.
