Honest review (seriously!)

Okay, I bought Key Smart Rugged and Pro for work and home respectively. I will review Rugged. I like that it's made in America. So few things these days. It's really refreshing. Definitely a plus! And it's a great concept. However, when I travel I'll probably be open to a second look when it comes through the airport scanner. The Rugged comes with a bottle opener, an extra belt clip and 2 key holders (1 on the bottle opener and one dedicated) and 2 longer screws should you need them (you probably will). Here are the cons: Rugged and Pro were very expensive considering what you get in each case. Many reviews mention that *IF* you have small keys, all your keys should fit. Well, Rugged was for my work keys. Key Smart suggests (at least from the reviews I've seen) that you duplicate your keys in favor of a smaller size so you can place all your keys neatly (and that's what I want - so the keys don't stick out, so that she could scratch something). my bag). Unfortunately there are 3 words on my long working keys - do not duplicate. It's kind of difficult to fit them like that. I had to use an entire puck only expansion kit to place the buttons in a way that made them look neat. Now I need to buy ANOTHER expansion kit for my Pro. In order for the keys (and USB 3.0 drive) to fit, I had to order an expansion kit ($6 for 8 rubber washers and expansion screws). 6 dollars? you have to play me The contents of the first Rugged should be crammed with pucks. Not that they're really worth anything. They're rubber (<1mm thick. Maybe 1/4" diameter). BIG negative kudos here. They'll also give you a nickel and a dime for a Kingston USB drive adapter ring. Love this concept, but if you have the cash and can reduce all your keys to a smaller size then go for it. Otherwise stick with the key ring or look elsewhere. There are other alternatives that offer larger and more durable products.
