Doesn't cushion - now I have to replace the screen of my iPhone X

I dropped my phone in the top left corner. The screen is not damaged by the protective film I bought. However, I found dead pixels on the upper right side of my iPhoneX where it fell. Looking further in, there is a small crack in the same corner of my case. Now I have to replace the display. It is clear that this whole case looks nice and prevents scratches on the back of the phone. I wouldn't recommend cheap cases for such an expensive phone.
