This remote looks well made. The cable connecting to the dehumidifier is strong. The problem is that the included instructions are confusing - ie. What is RT? There is a tutorial video on YouTube for the controller but it is useless because there is no sound. Why doesn't the company make a detailed YouTube video (with sound) for each product. It's free to post (I think) and the camcorder is cheap (or you can use your smartphone). After a day or two, I checked the relative humidity in the basement. The reading on the remote control was 65% and the reading on the hydrometer was 62%. Impressive. I tested the remote with two standard manual (and cheap) moisture meters - the Oregon showed 71% and the Acurite 74% - not impressive. At the latest under 60 rel. humidity you can rely on the remote control.
