Review on ๐ŸŽ‰ Exquisite Grandipity Premium Plastic Disposable Decoratives by Amanda Ellis

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Okay, more opaque than transparent and crumpled

So here's the thing. The description says "transparent" but they are opaque rather than transparent. I purposely bought these in packs of six thinking they were transparent. I wanted the beautiful red Christmas tablecloth to show through, but since I was putting food trays and an electric buffet server/warmer on this table, I wanted the clear plastic to keep drips and spills out. I'm only giving 3 stars because I've used one of these. I ended up messing up another one as you can see in the picture. When it came out of the box it was very wrinkled. I carefully iron the tablecloths to make the table look nice, even if it's just a serving table. In the past, when I've used a plastic splint or sleeve, I've been able to successfully place the splint between two towels and lightly smooth the crease with a warm iron OR I could put the splint in the dryer on a warm setting for 30 seconds. Neither of these methods worked. When the warm iron failed, I put it in the dryer and it crumpled into a crumpled mess. If I had known it was opaque and made of such low quality plastic I could have run to the Dollar Tree and bought a suitcase for a dollar. I understand they are meant to be thrown away, but does throwability mean they are so fragile that you have no way of smoothing out the creases so they lay flat/look nice?

Pros
  • Great construction
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
