This thing sucks cooling pads
save you money. It's cheaply made. The fans don't blow very hard, my laptop still gets hot, overheats and shuts down. Not impressed at all. I would return it, accepting that the box is already in the bin. Addendum: Well it broke after 2 weeks. The fan just stopped working. So I removed my laptop and picked it up to see what was going on and one of the fans was fully connected to a power supply that just floated there. I can't believe what the hell that was. Good luck blowing up your own laptop than wasting money on this poop.
