Baby Lock Ellisimo Embroidery Machine This thread didn't hurt (can bobbin thread hurt?) but it didn't embroider well at all. When I bought my machine the dealer told me to always use Finishing Touch bobbin thread as it was the only thread that would work well and produce quality products. He was right. I've always used it but was seduced by the convenience of a pre-wound stock. The bobbin thread made the embroidery thick, almost tangled and pulled up (not a tension problem for the machine). I did a project with this spool and then a second one with Finishing Touch. It was the difference between day and night. I have attached photos of the projects I have made. Red is made with this lower thread. The yellow is done with the finishing touches. Although the thread colors are different, everything else was the same - same brand needle thread, same cheap fabric, same stabilizer, same number of layers of fabric and stabilizer, and the tension was automatic. There was nothing else I could attribute to the best stitch but bobbin thread.
