I was planning on using them in the seam of a cloth mask but found they work better than the wires sewn into the mask I definitely recommend them I have a few on Etsy Bought nice summer linen masks and a mulberry silk mask but they didn't have the nose clips I wanted.Toops that keep the mask closer to the face are essential for eyeglass wearers to prevent glasses fogging.As I bought them in a hurry to wearing my new masks I didn't know that these are self-adhesive wires. I was planning on cutting a slit in the mask to put it through but decided instead to glue it to the mask with no regrets. I've only been wearing masks with this particular wire for about 3 weeks now, but haven't had any problems. I've never fogged up with these glasses, so I'm very satisfied. I stashed some extra wires in my purse in case the glue loses its tack or the wire breaks, but that's just for safety. They don't appear to be any less durable than the sewn-in variants - in fact, the wider metal strip prevents fogging of the glasses more effectively and is quite comfortable. I even leave the mask hanging in the car in hot weather and have had no problems with it, that they get too hot or that the wire detaches from the fabric. I wear a metal strip to my face and it doesn't irritate my skin. Everyone. I took a handful to work to share and realized one person has a sensitivity to aluminum/metals, but we've found that a metal strip on the outside of the mask works just as well. I thought about buying a roll of flat metal wire, but I'm very grateful I didn't. for cutting the strips would no doubt leave sharp edges while being nicely rounded at the ends. They're just the right length too. These straps are one of the best mask solutions I've found (along with an adjustable Etsy strap that snaps around the ear loops). With these strips + straps I can make almost any mask work for me! I wish I had found them when mask wearing first became a way of life! I'm very happy with these strips and I think it was great.
