I really wanted to like these boots. The color is cheerful and fun. My boy gets lots of compliments on his stylish boots. The only real downside to these boots is the size. The front boot cut-out is low so it falls in my dog's dewclaw area. When I took his boots off after a day of hiking, his dewclaws were sore, red, and bloody. I also tried just going to the store and avoiding hot asphalt, it still irritated him. It doesn't matter how tight or loose you fasten the Velcro. I even put medical tape/gauze around the area but it just shifts and falls then its paws hurt. I think there are other brands without the high price that will suit your dog better. I think for a pet grooming company they would understand this design flaw in the boots and make them with a higher cut. This is the hard way if you don't want your dog to suffer.
