Rectangular is perfect for my stack of washcloths and bath towels, and with 4 dividers it's great for hats, socks, shoes and hair bows. The bottom of the rectangular model has a hard cardboard base so it can be used decently for things like baby shampoo, creams and the like, but the quad model doesn't have a solid bottom so it's not suitable for heavier clothing accessories. There is a cardboard rectangle that can be tucked in halfway to keep it from collapsing, I almost threw it away but glad I read the little insert that came with it! If I need more organization for my baby items I will definitely buy them again.
