Fragile buckle breaks easily

Definitely "do not buy". Although the construction is good and the belt is simple and stylish, the buckle has a clasp that is too easy to break. How simple? The latch's side mount broke as I loosened and buckled the strap several times to find the optimal cutting length. I took my time and didn't use unusual force. When I contacted the seller I was given back a free replacement notification form - if I send it back at my own expense! - this included a rather damning note that "PLEASE NOTE THAT THESE BUCKLES ARE NOT RETRACTED MORE THAN 90 DEGREES, IF OPENING THEM FURTHER WILL BREAK THEM. IT IS JUST THE NATURE OF THIS BUCKLE DESIGN." I could quite gently break while holding it in my hands, can't imagine how the buckle would last more than a few days with normal use. It would be trivially easy to pull the latch too hard or open the latch catching on the belt loop and breaking. The fact that the seller is aware of this limitation and continues to sell the product is unacceptable. And while value is determined by the customer, these 'tactical', 'hiking' and 'durable' harnesses are little more than the camping harnesses that go by that name. for a fraction of the price. For this top price I would have expected a product that would be excellent for "tactical" or "heavy duty" use and the endless durability of many such harnesses, dog collars and other products I've owned that have woven straps and nylon buckles Has. This point is the opposite.
