Review on πŸ¦– Colossal Tyrannosaurus Dinosaur from Jurassic World by Kenneth Foster

Revainrating 5 out of 5

She's big, she said, but mostly she eats them all.

Stupid name aside, I have to say this number is amazing! Rexy/Reburta, the world-famous Tyrannosaurus Rex from Jurassic Park & World, comes to life (again) in this giant figure. If you're wondering how tall she is, she's about four feet long and about eleven inches tall at the hips, and that's when you take her in a walking pose. Otherwise, this kid can take a tall stance on a tripod. She's very stable and I only had one fall when she hit a thick carpet, but that might be because I didn't get her legs into a position where she could balance. The detailing is also amazing. , with my only complaint if I had to have them is that their finger claws aren't painted. Which, to be honest, I really don't care. I'd also like to add that this particular JP/JW T-Rex doesn't growl, the only feature it has is the ability to swallow small dinosaurs (the ones on the box) or maybe small defenseless toys. If you want a roaring colossal Rex then I suggest getting one from Walmart as it has both growling and "eating" functions. Curled Tail Syndrome that came along with the old but great Kenner line. The tail slides in pretty easily and even has a nice contour so you don't accidentally turn it upside down (which I did with one of my smaller tyrannosaurs). Put it back in, and while I'm not suggesting the full "Hulk Mode", I do suggest inserting your foot into the outlet until you hear an audible click (you'll know when you hear it) . The best result I've had with the two was laying them on their side and squeezing their foot into the pan as I'm a fairly short adult with not a lot of muscle mass, but this figure isn't difficult to put together . I also suggest before giving it to your child to play with, wiggle the foot a few times to make sure it's in the nest so it doesn't fall off. Finally, this character has multiple mobility points. Her mouth opens surprisingly wide (I can put my hand and part of my hand in her mouth and throat), her ankles can rotate to add stability, her legs, arms and tail can move as well, her legs can move so she can move. Stand on a very tall tripod, or perch where she's sniffing the ground (or maybe drinking water). Their arms can move up or down and their tail can move from side to side. All in all I'm a very happy collector and have to smile every time I see the fantastic job Mattel did to bring Rexy back to life as the Hasbro line was a tragedy. <_< I cannot praise this figure highly enough and if you are a collector I hope you will purchase this as it would make a great addition to any shelf or toy box.

Pros
  • Outstanding design
Cons
