Review on Effortlessly Chic: Sidefeel Women'S Destroyed Flare Jeans With Elastic Waist And Bell Bottom by Terry West

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Ok for now, need some customization for my body type

I have to give these a chance, I think. I am one month post baby. My mid section is NOT in an ideal state. Thats sort of why I was looking for elastic waisted jeans. Except the problem with these, and most jeans, elastic or not, is that the waist is smaller than is proportional to the size ordered. This happens with so many pairs of jeans, I just don't under stand it. Every manufacturer seems to assume that we all have big asses, and tiny waists. If I'm ordering a f*ing LARGE, its bc my waist is NOT small for god sake.SO unfortunately I will have to let out the elastic-ness on these, like I do with most elastic things. They should be ok at that point. They weren't HORRIBLE tight, so cutting the elastic in a few places should be just enough. They are also 9,000 feet too long, but I am 5'2" and there is literally NO jean on this planet that will ever fit me length wise right our of the bag. Luckily these are already left with a raw hem so I can just mimic that when I cut them. I need to take off about 6 inches of material. I do not wear heels pr platforms with bell bottom jeans, that just isn't a look I do, so I will hem that o fit with sneakers/converse.Otherwise. they "fit" ok. They are not too tight on my thighs and the color is good. The cutouts on the knees are fine. I think after I "tailor" them to fit me more custom, they will be awesome. I gave three stars for now, but will update when I finally get them working out for me :)

Pros
  • Perfect for layering with jackets or blazers to create a chic, elegant look
Cons
  • The elastic waistband may stretch out too easily
