I have a 1 year old Turkish Angora male dog who is interested in scratching the side of my gray stool. It did quite a bit of damage and I wanted to fix it. Unfortunately, it would be a futile attempt to fix him before I could find a way to stop him, so I started looking for ways to keep him. It was one of the things that seemed to work best, so I bought it. It was just the right size to cover the area and the corkscrew pins worked well to secure it in place. I watched my cat start scratching at the spot and stop as soon as he saw the coating. I later saw that he started scratching the opposite side of the chair but stopped when I told him no. I haven't caught him in the act since and there are no signs of damage so either he got the message or the other side isn't that scratch friendly. Thank you for developing a product that worked! While I don't want to clutter my living room with these protectors and they don't show any scratch marks anywhere else at the moment, I would definitely buy them again if I need to.
