I give five stars because the product does exactly what it promises. It is easy to use and install. However, now my cat just scratches everything around the product. That stopped her from scratching that corner, but now she has new spots around the protector.

To be honest they are more discreet than I expected. They definitely shine; You know they're there, but it's not that bad. The pad pins are clear so they fit together perfectly and their corkscrew design is easy to insert and keeps the vinyl nice and straight. Just make sure your needle goes into the soft fabric and not the frame piece. Will definitely buy again.

I don't know why others say it's glue but it's not. The spiral pins worked great for attaching them to my couches. The vinyl is thick and has pre-cut holes for you to insert the pins through. Easy to cut and shape. My cat hasn't touched my couches since she put them in every corner. Now she uses her contribution! They are definitely eye-catching on sofas, but I take it upon myself, no scratched destruction!

My cats ruin furniture. There are two of them and they are beasts. I swear they really think they're tigers, and my good furniture must be a lame wildebeest. After I put them on, they no longer scratched the furniture I was trying to protect. Vinyl records need to be soaked, but it's very easy - just place them on a baking sheet, pour warm water over them, leave them in the water for less than a minute and they'll go plastic. It is worth stopping the predatory destruction.
