Review on Red Steel Ringside Prime Free-Standing Station For Boxing And MMA Heavy Bag Training by Omar Thorndike

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Mostly excellent! on my review.

My boyfriend set this up (which I appreciated, greatly!) and he said that it was pretty straightforward, but the instructions weren't always that clear. He figured it out, though, as it is standing in the basement! Our punching bag used to hang from the ceiling, but we wanted to move it out of the way so we had more workout space. This product is nice because it allowed us to move the punching bag off to the side and away from our main workout area. When I punch it (5'7" female; average-athletic), I don't have any problems with the system. However, if my boyfriend punches it with enough force, the stand is a bit tippy. While I like that the pegs at the bottom are present so you can put weights on it for stabilization, larger (and therefore heavier, more stabilizing) weights might take away some foot room.Overall, a nice setup that allows you to put a punching bag wherever you want it to be. However, the instructions for setup could have been a bit clearer, and it would be nice if it were a bit more stable for a stronger person.but again, overall, it's a nice piece of equipment that adds a bit of versatility to a workout room.

Pros
  • This heavy bag stand is designed to stand against even the strongest boxing and MMA strikes, knees and kicks
Cons
  • May not be suitable for those with injuries or physical limitations

Easy to assemble but instructions were not specific enough had to improvise and just look at the picture and go from there. Also really disappointed in the poor welding might not last as long as I would like.
