If you are reading this and you have a reef aquarium look away, this product is not for you. In summary, I used this product as a last resort to resolve an ongoing bladder algae problem. Everything was going great until I took my 5th weekly dose of 1ml per 10 gallons. Bubble algae scattered and fell from my stonework; However, overnight my corals started to deteriorate. Most of my corals have been closed for about a week and are pretty much dried out. Now, three weeks later, they're starting to come back, but the damage is already done. I searched around a bit on several forums to find out that there are three different options for the light color. There is a freshwater option, a seawater option and a reef tank option. This is only suitable for saltwater and fish aquariums and not for coral aquariums. Now I'm just pointing out that this is my own fault for not finding out in time, but it's hard to say how this product is labeled. The bottles look almost the same. If you have a reef aquarium check out the reef bulk offering they have the right product for you. Note, however, that the company that made the Helle will not reach out to you for help if you have any problems. For those using this product in a reef aquarium and need advice to help their corals recover I did a 30% water change and used charcoal to deal with potential toxins this followed by time seemed like it a little to help but it will be rough on your corals. I am not sharing this experience to complain, but to ensure that no one else is harming their corals with a reef tank. I wish everyone every success in dealing with any algae pests, but please proceed carefully and take your time.
