I liked this microphone better than the m97, mainly because of its noise cancellation. It's like it filters out any breath noise or other unexpected sounds, whereas the m97 didn't. I don't like that the echo is always there, maybe it can be controlled, but I haven't found an opportunity to study this setting. While the reverb feature reduces the lyrical tone of the sound being played, it doesn't completely remove it. So when you sing in karaoke mode while the sound is playing on the microphone with music and lyrics, you'll hear a lyrical sound in the background. Overall this is a good karaoke microphone for the price. Finally, this is a heavy mic, you can't hold it continuously for very long unless you have strong hands.
