This fan is worth every penny. It has multiple modes, multiple speeds in each mode, sways, and most importantly, it has a remote control! A few things we like about this fan. Quiet mode is VERY quiet. In default mode, it's still quieter than most fans in this class. It's definitely not noisy. Fan height is perfect. The distance from the floor to the top of the fan cage is 4 feet. The extension allows the fan to grow an additional 8 inches. The fan size is 18 inches from right to left as measured by the cage that houses the fan blade. The blade consists of 5 propeller blades. The fan blade itself is made of transparent plastic. This allows you to easily see through the fan. For example, you could still watch TV if this fan was placed directly in front of you without much hindrance. I mentioned that this fan is quiet. Wow! No tools are required to assemble the fan and I assembled this unit and was up and running in 10 minutes. The fan is well packaged and protected. I would be surprised if anything got damaged during shipping due to the packaging used. Even with rough handling, it will be difficult to break anything. The packaging is so good. The blue LED display is bright enough to be seen during the day and is easy to read. The fan comes with instructions on how to dim the LED light if necessary. The remote control is very simple and easy to use. High marks for high quality and a fan that we are very happy with.
