Sound quality varies

I bought these to record videos with my iPhone 12 mini. I've used them about 4 times, for 45 minutes each time. I use a dual microphone system. I'm about 10 feet from the receiver/phone and another guy with a different mic is about 6 feet from the receiver. We always record indoors. Sometimes the microphone works throughout the recording, but never 100%. It always breaks off and I've never had a clean recording without glitches. The last time I recorded, the quality of the microphone recording was just terrible. I've gone through all troubleshooting procedures and nothing helps. I figured that since this product is relatively expensive, it would at least have decent recording quality. The recording quality is completely unstable. And unfortunately we lost very valuable audio recordings because of our reliance on these microphones. *Update: I found that the microphone works fine with the normal camcorder app on my iPhone 12 mini. It was working live with Facebook and then suddenly stopped. Live on Facebook the audio is very choppy. I understand many other people are having similar issues when using external microphones live on Facebook. The reason I bought this mic was to use it for live streaming on facebook and after hours of troubleshooting and trying all recommended solutions I still can't get it to work live on facebook. ** Second update: I resorted to pre-recording videos with my iPhone 12. the default mini camera app. Only one mic worked on the last two recordings I made. I tested them before I started recording and they both worked. Then when I recorded two separate sessions, there was a mic in each session that didn't work all the time. And each time it was a different microphone that didn't work. I would like the issues to be at least consistent then it would be easier to fix. However, the problems seem to appear every time, but are inconsistent in terms of the problems that are actually occurring. But if a problem arises, it's enough to mess up the whole record. It probably doesn't matter much if you're just recording a five-minute video that you can repeat. I record 45 minute videos and interviews and the results are disappointing.
