I bought these because I used to wear running shoes and they were great; Still, it was a swing and a miss. I've been wearing these shoes for a few months now so they're definitely worn out, but walking in them has been a challenge. They constantly damage the plantar region of my feet (the part under the joints that connect my toes to my foot). Basically I run neutral and thought it was for neutral runners, but every time I run there is a burning sensation at about mile 2. However, they are suitable for good walking or hiking shoes, but not for pavement running helps. There is simply no cushioning in the mid-forefoot of the shoe. All of the padding is placed around the perimeter of the boot. It would be nice if they applied the gel to the entire sole of the shoe. They also fit snugly to the toes. Getting in wasn't very pleasant. I got blisters on both heels because the back heel is higher than other shoes. I gave them three because they are good for most activities other than running. Maybe if you're not a totally neutral runner you'll be fine with these, but if you go toe-to-toe without hesitation, I'd choose a different shoe. I personally use Brooks Glycerin. They're lighter and don't feel as cushioned, but they definitely offer better support for your foot on landings and push-offs. In terms of style, this is a sharing shoe that gets a lot of compliments.
