It works to some extent. Best in External Components

This product works but is not without problems. I bought to sue my desktop computer and my macbook pro. Will it change them? Yes. Is it always reliable? Not always. IT will reliably switch PCs, but MacBooks are a different story. It's best to let your MacBook wake up already, it won't wake up your MB like a PC when you touch keyboard and mouse. So I touch the touchpad and wake it up before toggling it. Depending on what peripherals you have connected to the 2 USB ports on the front (also not enough ports), you can sometimes hear a whining noise. Sometimes the speakers whine, sometimes the device itself. Like a humming noise. You'll have to play with connecting and changing this to try to isolate or stop the noise. Sometimes it can be a USB dock if you have one plugged in, other times it can be caused by plugging in a wireless mouse or RGB from a keyboard. I ordered an audio ground loop isolator to try and remove any hum from the audio going to the speakers themselves, see if that helps. Next time I will not buy the same. Updated: 2/18/21. My mouse and keyboard were plugged in, they basically went off and they were blinking and jerking back and forth. This device appears to have issues with RGB (noise) and RGB keyboards and mice. Have asked for a replacement, will try again. If that doesn't work, switch to a different brand.
