I chose this for my new laptop which can get quite hot at times. This device is perfectly adjustable to different angles you like. Good light representation at the edges. Fans also light up. The operation is really quiet, but at the same time it has minimal airflow. However, it seems to help laptops. However, the power cord that came with the kit literally lasted a day. After that he stopped working. Replace it with another cable and the device will work normally. It was definitely the power cord that was defective. The power cord is also short, which is included in the box. (29 inches tip to tip.) I'm sure they wanted to connect it to your laptop via USB so the power supply would be short enough to work. However, I don't want to run it through my laptop as it only has 'c' type connectors and I would still prefer to plug it into a different power source. So I still had to buy a new power cord to make it work. All in all, apart from a bit of technical complexity, it looks like a decent device overall.
