Works but mic volume is very low

This splitter works well with sound but doesn't pick up the mic well. After I started using this splitter, people couldn't hear me very well and I had to resort to the mic input on my webcam because at least that way they could hear what I was saying. I just bought a converter that converts a headphone jack to USB and the difference is day and night. I would not recommend that.
