I went to a real store to try it on and fell in love; now, of course, there's a theory that if you try something on in the store, it looks terrible at home. Well I bought it from Revain straight from their warehouse, first of all the coat was obviously not in the best condition; which annoys me given the price paid. Second, I would never pay full price for this coat; I only bought it because it was on sale at $299, $500 (original price) is CRAZY overpriced for what you get. This is a warm oversized coat, it will definitely keep me warm on these cold New England days, I have no doubt about that. My only problem is the size. Firstly, this coat is insanely large so you may need to down a size or two. I'm 5'11, 150 lbs, very curvy, large bust, and I bought an S and it fits me perfectly, in a sweater. Now the sleeves are long, which annoys me because, being small, God forbid, these coat manufacturers make sizes for petite people. I was distracted. Pockets are huge and plentiful, this really is a touring or even adventure jacket, it's good for commuting when you're carrying a lot and need storage. I find breast pockets really annoying, especially with large breasts they draw more attention to the breast and the zippers point that out; super weird. Also, I love red, it's a rich color, the fabric feels strong and durable, I recommend buying it from another seller, Revain has really crappy clothing items. The one I received came with tattered, yes torn tags, and thankfully the coat itself appears to be intact so I guess I'll keep it. You'd better try it on when you get the chance, but it's a GOOD coat, it's clearly a figure for tall slim people, short curvy girls struggle, although I've tried on North Face and Marmot and the problems are constant; long sleeves, narrow chest, large waist; Unfortunately, not every body type is designed to fit. It'll fill the bill for a few years and I can sleep easy knowing it's only worth half of what's on the list. I love the Fjรคllrรคven brand and their company's products, expect them to last and plan to update the review. They have a lifetime guarantee on their coats as listed in their stores and online; I'm not sure if this is true if you bought it from a third party, but it's worth checking.
