First impression good

Disclaimer: I am not a paid reviewer. I bought this shower filter after using the Aquabliss SF220 for over two years. I haven't had any problems with it, but the filters never seemed to last very long. I wanted to try their SF300 but it has clearly been discontinued so I settled on the Rejuvia HD (SF500). Strange model number and name, but who cares? What was sold is a new filter design. I feel like the old filters aren't picking up as much as they could. Pros: If you compare the tightness of each filter, you can see the obvious difference. It just feels more robust and noticeably heavier. Screwing in the filter is a bit tedious, but that's a good thing, because the O-ring is now on the outside of the thread instead of inside the housing. Now you can feel it sealing when you tighten it, but leaking through the threads when opening the case wasn't an issue for the SF220, but it might be for people with very high water pressure. I like that the new filters are "healthy" in the sense that you can replace or clean the sumps. I think it's good for those of us who don't change filters as often as we should. It's nice that it comes with 3 rubber washers/wire mesh filters as well as thread tape and 2 spare sump pads. One was in the box and one in the manual and both were broken. Also, it looks like the manual has been re-edited from their discontinued SF300 filter as there are images of that filter in the manual.

Pros
  • Good
Cons
  • Slightly torn
