Updated: Chrome flash comes off in the filter chamber and gets into the shower water. Probably poisonous paint - a nit hood for bathing a child! I will buy another filter that doesn't use cheap paint. I work for a local bottled water company. I actually test the water at the refill machines you see outside the shops. Pure drinking water has a TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) of 100 or less, which does not indicate water hardness. I could elaborate on that, but Google explains it better. I installed my third Aquabliss shower filter. ALL of them are either leaking or in this case sprayed the wall with bath water. 1. 2. I disassembled the filter, checked the O-ring for defects. I love this item. Doesn't matter. I live in suburban Los Angeles and the water is awful. Gives you dry itchy skin and crunchy hair. I mean municipal water sources should be ashamed. Who knows what's in that water.
