I work for a local bottled water company. I actually test the water at the refill machines you see outside the shops. Pure drinking water has a TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) of 100 or less, which does not indicate water hardness. I could elaborate on that, but Google explains it better. I have tested that the water from the diverter spout that fills the tub has a TDS of 339. Then I took it out of the shower head after the filter and it had a TDS of 367. Once I checked for hardness and chlorine release. I could change this review and rating. Update: I added a star because I tested this filter and it does indeed remove chlorine from the water. I also checked the filter and found a lot of foreign particles in the pre-filter cotton pad. I still have limescale deposits on my showerhead, but not as quickly. I will test the TDS again when I remember to bring my tester home from work.
