Updated: Chrome flash comes off in the filter chamber and gets into the shower water. Probably poisonous paint - a nit hood for bathing a child! I will buy another filter that doesn't use cheap paint. This is only a cosmetic choice, but ultimately not a good one for the user. ----- It appears to be working fine, although sediment is accumulating and reducing water flow. Reversing and flushing the filter solves this problem. The chamber is not easy to open due to design tolerances. A big problem is related to the design or manufacture of the filter cartridge. Our original filter started turning the water a dirty grey. When I opened the filter, I saw that the screen holding the filter media had come loose from the plastic housing, allowing the carbon particles to escape into the water. And that's after two months of normal use.
