Decent mountain bike gloves. for outerwear

cycling gloves are very important to me. My demands are high and it's all about comfort. I NEVER ride without gloves with my fingers full. I've tried at least a dozen glove styles over the years and so far my absolute favorite is the Nike Huarache. Yes, these are baseball gloves and they make great mountain bike gloves. They fit my hands perfectly, last a long time and have a very good grip. So I decided to try them out because they boast extra padding and the skeleton hands totally won me over. There is a bit of rubber grip along the thumb joint. Additional padding along the top of the palm, lower thumb and outer edge. If I tried them on at a bike shop I would definitely buy them. My batting gloves aren't very warm anyway (I rarely ride in very cold weather), but these are a bit warmer. I have an Ergon MTB grip on my Stumpjumper with a slight palm rest edge and these gloves go great with it. My ONLY reason not giving 5 stars is because the main fabric is a bit like a work glove and the work gloves have not held up well on all the rides I have taken. They tend to tear or wear out sooner than bat gloves. Put all of this design in a glove that looks more like a batting glove and you're as close to a custom made glove as I can imagine. They are better than I expected so I would have no hesitation in saying that they are worth the price. I also ride with velcro straps (on all gloves) off my wrist and not fastened. You could do it comfortably. These LARGE batting gloves fit like most major brands of LARGE batting gloves. Great for mountain biking and would also be great for road riding on my hardtails.

Pros
  • Annual trial period
Cons
  • The list will be long.
