In short. It's definitely not a privacy screen, and certainly not some sort of security screen. Basically you buy a thin layer of dark plastic. I paced my room trying to find a perspective that would prevent me from seeing. Vain. Buy something else because it's not what the title suggests. I'm keeping this for a while because I'm traveling. Otherwise I would have sent it back.
