This hose was just what I needed for my 2008 Ford Expedition (just under 100,000 miles). I replaced this HVAC hose by replacing another one that was leaking coolant throughout my engine bay (KH-509 had a leak) while I was there as I figured if the other one failed this one probably wouldn't go any further behind. This hose was half the price of one of the local shops and got here in 2 days. Other posts I found said that a special connector was needed to remove the old hose, but I was able to remove the old hoses by pressing on the outside edge of the white tabs while squeezing the hose against the existing fitting squeezed to release the clamps, and then after a little twisting, the hose came loose. Make sure the white tabs are fully depressed or the tubing will not detach. Note that the white tabs from the old hoses will remain attached to the hose attached to the vehicle but must be removed prior to installing the new hose assembly and can be removed by pulling on the tabs and gently twisting to remove. Also, be sure to check the coolant level after changing the hoses and top up to the "cold range” marked on the reservoir as some coolant will be lost in the process.
