Son wanted a pair of quality boots for so long that we ended up covering half when he was working for the other half. It was a big financial investment to buy them. You won't make much money, but quality is very important, because quality lasts---and quality is more expensive. But in recent years it seems that the brand is money, not necessarily quality. This made us very happy. After a week in these boots they held up very well to the antics of a 12 year old. The heel does not show major signs of wear, such as is typically seen when someone takes their shoes off with their toes on the heel. Like all 12-year-olds, he kicks them out, albeit softer than others, and they passed the test. We have a big family so sometimes you have to step on your boots to get your shoes, but then again, they seem to be getting old. like fine wine --- better with time and with time. very happy. Would buy again.
