As a female, it was pretty weird to try and use these. I'm glad I was in the bathroom and not the car.There was definitely a learning curve, but once I practiced a bit I'm pretty sure I would use them in an emergency.I was stuck in a traffic jam once and didn't go before i left, thinking I would just go when I got home. By the time I got to a gas station bathroom I was doubled over in pain. I would have been extremely grateful to have these in the car and wouldn't have been worried about how silly I may have looked. I think the passenger seat would be a good place to use these, but the back seat would be ideal.So all in all, I am happy with the item, just not with the situation I would have to use them. But again, I would be gateful.
