The stand is solid, but there are some problems. Pros: 1) The stand looks sturdy (it doesn't seem to break) and looks good. 2) Rubber pads prevent your laptop from slipping off the stand even when used at an angle. Cons: 1) As other reviewers have said, the stand wobbles when you try to use the keyboard. I have a separate keyboard but I was hoping to use the laptop keyboard as well. 2) The stand and laptop only wobble from the pressure of using a separate keyboard. If there is even the slightest movement from the surface the stand is resting on, your laptop and stand will shake. Many.3) The description says it's adjustable. That's true, but you can really only set it up once. A wrench is required to hold the stand in place with a heavy laptop, and once you've adjusted it, you won't want to change it. The notion that it can be folded to be "portable" is misleading. You need to take a wrench with you so you can adjust it when you arrive at your destination. Otherwise, the weight of the laptop will cause the stand to fall, rendering the stand unusable. These issues may be acceptable on a $10-$15 purchase, but not at this price point. The laptop stand should stay in place after you adjust it. As a result, I would look for a stand that doesn't have these issues.
