Drawstring is too short.
I fully extended the waistband for the short's initial wearing. One end of the drawstring receded into the waistband 2", and I have been unable to feed the drawstring back through the hole from which it came. I tied knots in both ends of the drawstring of the second pair of shorts and extended the waistband only as much as necessary, so that I could wear it.
