The High/Low/Off switch on my desk lamp allows this 50W or less halogen bulb to be used. This is a very useful feature. Halogen bulbs come in a variety of names that have different sized plugs/pins on the bulb. The two lamps in this pack are referred to as the T4 JC. If T4 JC is not printed or stamped anywhere on your lamp, lampshade, the original packaging or the documentation that came with your lamp, then this lamp will not fit your lamp sockets correctly. If the numbers do not match, use another halogen lamp that matches the lamp designation on your lamp. This lightbulb is very hot, very bright and will burn your fingers. Never touch the bare bulb when you take it out of the packaging. Keep it in a clean handkerchief or something similar during installation. Otherwise, contact with oil on the skin will lead to premature burnout of the light bulb. The price is fair and includes free shipping. Have been using these bulbs for a month. No problems with the first lamp. Would probably buy another two pack if they eventually burn out when Amazon still has free shipping.
