By reading other people's posts, I knew what I was buying before I bought it. I think the dishes are great! I have not noticed any color that is different or bright from others in the same set. When I received my package, two cups were broken. I contacted the seller and a week later I received two new mugs. Excellent customer service! I have attached three photos for your reference. One image shows the back of a stamped plate while the other shows a front view of the same plate. I also attached the broken circles but the color is more visible due to the closer image. I have not seen the original English made set to compare this new Chinese made set to what others have seen which has expressed some disappointment in some reviews. I love that these dishes can be washed in the microwave/dishwasher/freezer. I ended up buying two 28 piece sets to feed eight people and also bought a complete 6 piece Johnson Brothers Friendly Village set (plate, gravy boat/saucer, vegetable bowl and salt/pepper shaker). I can't wait to use these for my dining table!
