Review on Samuelworld Stackable Silicone Baby Food Storage Container With Hard Lid - 12 Portions Of 2.5Oz For Homemade Purees, Vegetables & Fruits - Food Grade Tray In Pink by Megan White

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Container good, lid, not so much.

PROS: Nine cups! Rectangular shape, more efficient to store. Yes, this is a decent product! So why only three stars?CONS: I have a major issue with the lid. It's floppy! and though it does cover the tray, it doesn't seal well. While I can keep it from picking up other tastes in the freezer by inserting it into a plastic ziplock bag, I don't have to do that with the Beaba baby food storage trays, which Williams Sonoma no longer carries. Those had cleat-like protrusions around the edge. I have two of the Beaba trays, and decided to give this a try.I'll find another use for this one. I've already bought the newer version of the Beaba baby food storage tray, available on Walmart. The new Beaba version has only six cups, but has added clips on the interior where the seventh cup was in the previous version. I can empty the frozen puree into a ziplock plastic bag and freeze another batch. If you take a frozen portion out the night before and place it in a glass container in the refrigerator, it will defrost overnight. The glass container allows you to heat the puree in the microwave, too.

Pros
  • Super Easy To Clean: The freezer container is designed for easy release of food, simply push at the bottom and pop out the puree. The storage tray is dishwasher safe but rinsing it with water is also sufficient for cleaning.
Cons
  • Could be too heavy for a toddler to hold
