Overall picture quality is decent. However, the more I've used it with a 27" Apple Cinema display (non-Thunderbolt display), the more I've had the odd ones noticed minor issues. Some UI elements appear slightly blurry (text boxes in some apps but not all). It's also not a specific spot on the screen as these blurry parts are moved to where I moved the window. Then noticed I found that if I moved the mouse pointer and then stopped, after about a second the pointer went into a slightly blurry state. Some window shadows also shifted slightly when moving the mouse. I'm not entirely sure what the explanation for this is except maybe macOS is trying to troubleshoot signal issues or how it interprets the monitor it's trying to display through the adapter hey I attributed this to issues with new Macs and was trying to connect to an old monitor using a USB-C adapter. But when I went back to my old Mini DisplayPort to USB-C adapter, I don't see any of these issues like this one.
