The biggest problem with this pedal is that it cannot be programmed on a Mac. Instead, you need to download the driver software onto your PC, program the pedal onto it, and then connect it to your Mac. It's really inconvenient considering I had to dig up and boot up an old, slow laptop in the garage. After all was said and done, the programming was pretty easy. However, there is no way to program it to click and hold a letter on the keyboard. If you want to do this, you must keep your foot on the pedal. I guess it doesn't matter to most people, but I use it as a sustain pedal in GarageBand and Mainstage. I really wanted the sustain pedal to be locked without having to hold down the actual pedal. Until an update comes out, I'll stick with this decision. It'll go down for the price, but remember: it won't work on a Mac until you program it on a PC.
