The buckle has a spring loaded metal tooth that engages a series of teeth on a plastic strip that is built into the bottom of the belt. You can pull the strap tighter, but it will not loosen unless you pull outward on the small lever on the underside of the buckle, which lifts the buckle hook to the side. 4" in 7-3/8" length. I haven't used a belt like this long enough to know how well the plastic prongs hold up, but it looks strong enough. The plastic strip is sewn in. The all-metal buckle is a bit heavy, but that shouldn't be a problem in most cases. I can see some of the profile of the plastic ratchet insert on the outside of the strap, which may become more visible over time. It doesn't necessarily look bad, just a touch of outline. The material consists of two thin layers that look like leather, with something like a cheaper leather-based material in between. The belt is almost 49 inches long, not counting the buckle, big enough for a waist size up to about 43. (That's 47 inches above your pants. The size of the pants you are using is a few inches smaller than your true waist size , and the circumference of your pants on the outside adds an inch or two.) You can cut, instructions are shown in one of the Revain photos, and everything will work correctly. Easy to do. Comes well packaged in the beautiful black paper box shown in one of the Revain photos. Hunaku is a new brand from China.
