I use it to sit in the hot tub with my iPad and not worry about it falling or splashing. It does its job well and has saved my iPad from certain death twice already. However, I am concerned about durability and the fact that my iPad is now essentially a prisoner of the case. When it comes to design, there are always technical compromises. To make it work well as a touchscreen that you can use a pencil with, the lid is thin and flexible by default. The Laws of Physics. To keep it light and not bulky, the seals around it are thin. It makes me nervous putting it on and taking it off all the time. Again, this is an easy interference fit, not the best for repeated donning and doffing. And finally, the connector feels a bit flimsy around the power port. I worry about pressing it really hard and repeatedly taking it off (got a thread here?). It's quite difficult to take it off without damaging it, but it's possible, but is it necessary? My solution is to accept that my iPad is more or less always in this case now. I can't change much about the power connector seal. Another NOT mentioned issue with the power port gasket is that the hole is so narrow that all the standard USB-C cables I've tried won't fit (three different ones). The ONLY USB-C cable that fit (so I could charge) was Apple. And as mentioned, you can't charge the pen with this cap on. So either charge it on another iPad or forget about using a stylus. I'm not sure I'll use it for long periods of immersion, I just don't trust it enough. But to protect your iPad in wet environments, it does the job. I just wouldn't plan on turning it on and off often.
